Since 2014, Cameron Dumas Whittenberg, LCSW-S, SEP, has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Mental Health, Complex PTSD and Developmental Trauma.
Cameron received her undergraduate degree in Social Work at Texas Christian University and her graduate Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
Cameron specializes in complex trauma, developmental trauma, anxiety, depression and grief. She has a wide range of experience with children, teens and adults including work with chronically ill children, refugee resettlement and support, and ABA therapy with children on the Autism Spectrum. In Houston, she worked as a hospital social worker at Texas Children’s Hospital providing supportive services in the NICU and Pediatric Oncology.
Subsequently, Cameron transitioned to working in schools with the nonprofit Communities in Schools Houston working as a Mental Health Specialist where she provided individual, groups and crisis intervention counseling with pre-teens and teenagers.
Cameron’s work in private practice has provided the opportunity to build on strengthening relationships with clients and to be both an active participant and witness in the unfolding process of a client’s healing journey.
